Jenna: Office Manager

Jenna: Office Manager

I was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. I studied Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and then Hospitality management with majors in Sales and Accounting. When I graduated from the International Hotel School, I applied for jobs internationally to gain experience and broaden my horizons. I moved to the USA at 22 years old on a work visa and I have grown in managerial roles since.

In June 2022, my husband and I decided to purchase Sun Smile Dentistry. We have been so privileged to have the most phenomenal staff that have become family to us.

My family still lives abroad. I have been fortunate enough to spend many

Megan and her dogs

holidays celebrating with Stacie, Jodi, Dr. Rosado and Megan. I look forward to continuing to help this office grow and become the kind of practice that helps patients take pleasure in going to the dentist.

Being a small family run location in the community gives us the opportunity to make patients feel comfortable and well informed. When I am not managing the practice that I love, I enjoy spending time with my husband and dogs, traveling, spontaneous adventures and scuba diving.

Megan Reid: Dental Hygienist

Megan Reid: Dental Hygienist

I was born and raised in Farmington, Maine. I graduated from the University of Maine Augusta in Bangor, Maine with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2017. That same year, I moved to Florida.

I love the warm weather! I have aspirations of traveling the world. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, painting, good food, and music. I also enjoy flying in small single-engine planes with my husband and best friend, Tim, who is a commercial pilot!

I have attended many dental hygiene conferences and enjoy staying up-to-date with the profession. Some courses that I feel have helped me improve the way I practice include an implant course, a pain management course, advanced scaling and ergonomics, local anesthesia, as well as many courses on interpersonal relationships. I feel my most valuable experience was working with a periodontist for 2 years.

I have also worked in general dentistry for more than 5 years. I strive to provide the best care I can for my patients. I am a perfectionist at heart and want every patient leaving with a beautiful, clean smile. I love serving the people of Port Charlotte and hope to be able to continue practicing here for many years to come. I love working at Sun Smile Dentistry because we truly care about our patients and take the extra time to ensure a quality experience.

Stacie Boyles: Dental Assistant

Stacie Boyles: Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in a small coal mining town in Utah. At 18, I obtained my A.S. degree in Criminal Justice and continued schooling in forensic science and crime scene investigation. After working as a guard in a jail for 10 years in Colorado, I decided I needed a change. I moved to Florida to escape the snow and cold and changed my career to dentistry. I learned dental assisting on the job with Dr. Brooks and obtained my radiology license and dental assistant certification from the Academy for Dental Assistants in 2017.

I love working in an office that emphasizes a family-oriented environment and focuses on patient comfort and care instead of the production based corporate offices.

In my spare time I enjoy scuba diving for shark teeth, photography, hiking, fishing, climbing, rafting, gardening, and skydiving.

Jodi Drymon: Dental Assistant

Jodi Drymon: Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in Arcadia, Florida. In high school I started out in a CNA program and after high school I went for my real estate license. After exploring many different interests, I realized dentistry was the field for me. I enjoy helping members of the community & contributing to a world full of bright, happy smiles. I then realized I was interested in dentistry. I attended the Institute of medical and dental technology in August of 2022 and attained my dental assistant certification and radiology license in February of 2023.

I plan to go back to school to become a dental hygienist. I enjoy working in a small practice that treats our patients like family. In my spare time, I love to be on the water boating and fishing, I also like traveling. I’ve been to many states like Colorado, Tennessee and North Carolina and many others. I’ve recently got engaged to my high school sweetheart. We both plan to travel all over.
