Read answers to popular questions patients have about our office and their dental care:

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we accept new patients from the Port Charlotte area. We see adult patients who require general, cosmetic, and restorative care.

How often should I visit the dentist?

Visiting the dentist once or twice a year helps us keep track of your oral health. We also provide thorough dental cleanings at regular visits to remove plaque and tartar from the teeth and gums. Our office will also take digital X-rays at these appointments to plan treatment and discover dental problems.

Can you restore missing teeth?

Dr. Rosado provides restorative dental treatments to replace one or more missing teeth. He can restore single missing teeth with crown-capped dental implants or replace rows of teeth with dental bridges. Our office also provides dentures for patients missing all of their teeth.

What do I do if I have a dental emergency?

Please get in touch with us if you have a dental emergency. Emergencies can be sudden and severe dental problems that require treatment from a professional. Severe tooth pain, knocked-out permanent teeth, and broken restorations are all common emergencies we offer in our office. If you have an emergency, please call us.

For pain, please take pain medication and apply an ice pack to reduce swelling. Additionally, if you have a broken restoration, do not try to place it back in your mouth. Wait until your appointment for us to provide you with a temporary restoration.

Is it safe to visit the dentist if I’m pregnant?

You can visit our office for routine and preventative care if you are pregnant. It is safe to visit the dentist when pregnant. We will recommend routine cleanings and visits if you are pregnant because many pregnant women are at an increased risk of developing gingivitis due to hormonal changes. A deep cleaning can reverse the signs of gingivitis and prevent gingivitis from developing into gum disease.
